Castle gift shop

Our castle shop is situated in the 15th century part of the castle where there are decorative features from different historical periods. Charles Claverie commissioned the wood panelling during his restoration of the castle. Although installed in the early 20th century, it has a “linenfold” design typical to that of the Middle Ages. The mosaïc floor showing the Caumont coat-of-arms was commissioned by Josephine Baker.

Our gift shop is filled with personalised gifts, posters, CD’s and a wide range of books including a selection on Josephine Baker. We also offer a wide range of tableware, children’s soft toys and stationery.

You can also find a selection of local wines and produce from the Périgord Noir region.

The shop is accessible to castle visitors during our opening hours, however it can also be accessed by non ticket holders on signaling this to our friendly reception staff.

Through your purchase, you contribute to the maintenance of the Château des Milandes. The resources collected at the shop are reinvested in restorations (castle, chapel, garden, reception center, etc.) and the preservation of the estate. THANKS !
